Cystic Fibrosis

I am asking friends and family to donate, if you can, to sponsor Bryan Ziegler, Alex Walsh, and myself in the upcoming "Shoot for a Cure" Cystic Fibrosis trap shooting competition held on September 5th in Alpine, AL. All donations received will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

As many of you know and some may not my son, Noah, was born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. In people with CF, a defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that

1. Clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections.

2. Obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down food and absorb vital nutrients.

Currently the median life expectancy is 38 years. While this may seem short, it has nearly doubled in the last 30 years because of greater understanding and extensive research on the disease. It is because of events like "Shoot for a Cure" that this research is possible. So once again please donate if you can, it would mean more to Danny and I than words could ever express.
