This poor pup was found as a stray a few weeks ago in Ladera Heights, with one eye completely swollen shut, so initially, his Samaritan suspected it to be a bee sting. However, when we took in Keefer, as we named him, to our vet, it turned out that his jaw was actually broken - in several places!!!
 
When he arrived at his foster two nights ago, he spit out a dead piece of his upper jaw - there's a whole portion missing there now, and another dead bone hanging on the lower jaw that the vet removed yesterday. His whole lower jaw is shifted toward the right, and his lower teeth are hitting the upper gum so they will need to be removed as well.  So, he’ll have one canine on the bottom.
 
Keefer is only about 3 months old and looking at multiple major surgeries. He is strong and his spirit is high (he's a pup, of course!) but we are looking at some hefty vet bills and are asking for your support - your donations will ultimately help Keefer lead a happy life! Thank you!
