Doris Parreno Vivas Memorial 1965 - 2020
Good day to all our Family & Friends of our beloved Doris Alexandra Parreno Vivas who passed away yesterday. I'm her brother in the picture. Just wanted to express our sincere gratitude for all your support during this challenging time. My sister fought hard to the end and to honour her memory best, although I know many are thinking of sending flowers to commemorate her life. I would like to suggest as an alternative - something that I think she would have been proud to have supported. She loves nature & everything related to Nature Health & Well-being. Here we are at the Young Living Centre in Ecuador, just months before her passing.
On the day of my sisters death, I got a call from Omar Tello. He knew nothing of my sisters passing. So it was co-incidence that I saw his message. "He was responsible for a corner of the Amazon that had been cleared and used as farmland & restored it to rainforest. He gave up his job as an accountant and spent 40 years recreating a patch of pristine forest in Ecuador, stretching just a few hundred metres in each direction. He’s trying to encourage other landowners to do the same, so they can turn the tide of deforestation. Please view the BBC report on him"
He had asked if I could help with a donation to plant 4,000 trees. We have supported his projects in the past. Now it's a very challenging time for him. So I'm starting this page. As I think the money spent on the flowers or any gifts could better be used to help build the lungs of the planet. My sister struggled her days to breath and I think this would give life to her legacy and the importance of protecting the rainforest. He has other projects he's working on so any money left over will go to finance these projects which will go to honor my sister.
We will post pictures and more information about the project. But again any amount is greatly appreciated. I'm sure my sister would have been extremely proud of this project.
Thank you again for all your support and love. From the Parreno Family we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
