Dorinda Hawkins Smith battled a rare disease called Fallopian Tube Cancer for 5 years. She LOVED life and was determined to live each day to the fullest. Dorinda went to Women and Infants Hospital in Rhode Island on her days off to have tests done so she could someday save someone in the future. Because there was not a fundraiser for her rare type of cancer, she chose to raise awareness for Ovarian Cancer.
25 years ago, Dorinda married her best friend, Todd Smith. Their love for each other was like no other. When I met Dorinda 5 years ago, she told me her hope was to watch her two boys, Neil (17) and Ned (13) grow up. Today, July 1, 2018 Dorinda passed away.
Dorinda was an amazing wife, mother and friend who would do anything for you. She always greeted you with a hug and a smile. Dorinda impacted everyone she met. She was a giver and never asked for anything in return. She will be deeply missed. This is our time to show our love to Dorinda's family. Any size donation would be greatly appreciated.
