Hurricane Dorian Dogs, Animal Response Team

The dogs are drowning, their animal shelters are destroyed but we have a meaningful way to help. I've secured passage on a 105' vessel that will be traveling in a flotilla, carrying emergency supplies for our Bahamian neighbors. And since the ships will be coming back empty, we have a chance to fill it with doggos, puppies and "potcakes" (a special breed of island dog). 

What do we need to make this happen? Well, many things like finding a vet whose clinic wasn't destroyed, securing health certificates and meeting customs requirements, lining up prospective US adopters, fosters and rescues, arranging ground transporters and gathering travel supplies.... but WAIT, with some perseverance and luck, we're almost through that list which means we just need to raise the money for supplies, travel and survival gear.

- seaworthy food/water bowls (open to suggestions here!)
- leashes, collars, harnesses (used/donated works too)
- dog food/treats
- dog life vests
- rain gear for humans
- human food/water
- weather protection/tarps/blankets

Thank you for reading and for caring about animals. The Bahamians I've been in contact with are in dire straights and really need to be able to focus on their own survival and rebuilding.
