Dear family and friends. By now most of the world has seen the images of the destruction of hurricane Dorian to the Abacos, Bahamas. This has been my home for the past 5 years. Many of you have asked how you can help. Well this is a way that will directly impact the life a very special person.
One of the first people I met when I relocated there was this amazing young woman Sharona Cole. I had the privilege of having her work for me, and over time she has become family. She is my island daughter. She is a hard working , generous and loving single mother to an incredible little boy. Her son Lennie was born premature 3 years ago and she has nurtured him into a healthy spirited child. They lost their home and all of their belongs in the hurricane. If you would open your heart to help her I would really appreciate it. She will use the money to find another place to live for she and her son.
Update: Sharona and Lennie have been evacuated from Marsh Harbour to Nassau. She is making plans to relocate to Canada to begin rebuilding her entire life. I am in daily contact with her. They are finally able to sleep in a bed after a week on the floor. Little things we all take for granted like flushing toilets and showers are once again available to them. The conditions in Nassau are better then what they left behind, however there are 1000's of people sharing temporary spaces with a lot of sorrow and despair still in their hearts. The funds collected in this campaign will aid her in getting to Canada and hopefully to a better life. Thanks again for any assistance large or small you can give them. Peace and blessings V
