David Rees lives on the Island of Abaco and as many of you know the island was completely destroyed by Hurricane Dorian. David and his family survived the storm with no bodily harm but their life as they know it has changed forever. David evacuated his wife Celia and his son immediately after the storm to Nassau for safety but they are soon to return. David is a commercial fisherman and supports his family primarily by these means. Celia worked at Snappas restaurant that was completely destroyed by the hurricane as was his sons school.
As many of you already know David has been volunteering tirelessly to help the entire island of Abaco. He's been helping distribute supplies brought in by many different NGOs and individuals using his own resources and vehicle. Everyday he is pulled in different directions to help his island which he does without hesitation and a smile on his face. Davids primary source of income has been put on hold so he can help those who need it. David also recently lost his fishing boat.
As Davids family I have been working with him since day one of this disaster and will continue to do so.
Donations for the Rees Family.
A large number of family, friends, and even complete strangers have reached out asking how they can help David and Celia. After carefully considering a number of options, I have setup this GoFundMe campaign. The donations will go directly to David and Celia for their dispersement.
Sending Relief Supplies.
The many NGOs we are working with have the ability to deliver any relief supplies to the family directly including small items we can take by plane to larger items (like a Boat) that can be shipped over.
We thank you for your continued support during this challenging time.
Sincerely, The Rees Family
