Dorian on his journey
Where do I begin?...... Lets start from when I was pregnant.
Hello, my name is Crystal, Dorians mom. When I was pregnant with Dorian, and it came time to measure the heart of my baby, we found out that it was measuring differently than expected. After he was born, he was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease with L Transposition of the Great Arteries. (There is a lot more to his diagnosis) We were seeing a cardiologist weekly, then monthly and then every few months.
As he got older, we had surgeries to help his heart to be stronger so he may be the happy little boy he is today. Having gone through 10 surgeries between birth and 7 years of age, doctors at Rady Childrens Hospital of San Diego have concluded that the final option is for a Heart Transplant. We are now 2 1/2 years post transplant and are now experiencing signs of rejection. we are back to Rady Childrens Hospital to undergo testing to see what the transplant team needs to do in order to remedy the situation. This puts us at a standstill with work again. Anything helps during this very difficult time in our fami!y and God has been here 100% fighting with us! Thank you all very much for your love and support.
