On October 16, 2020, Doreen Reilly and her daughter Isabella Reilly were involved in a car accident on their way home. The other vehicle continued into an intersection after failing to stop at a stop sign, and causing the accident.
Doreen and Isabella immediately went to the hospital following the incident. Doreen suffered from a Lisfranc break in her foot- breaking 5 bones and suffered several fractures. She has been off her foot ever since, and has been out of work since 10/16.
Doreen had extensive surgery on 10/27, where she received staples, plates, and screws in her foot in order to ensure she would heal and once again be able to walk in the future.
Isabella suffered whiplash after the incident. The accident has caused massive anxiety for them and has made driving again a somewhat daunting task for them both.
Doreen is a single parent, and supports her daughter Isabella, as well as two cats. She has been out of work for almost 2 months, and will continue to be out of work until 2021. In order to ensure her healing, she needs to see her healthcare provider every 1-2 weeks. She will also need physical therapy and continued medical attention through the end of this year and through 2021.
For Doreen, this is a huge setback. Her job requires her to be on her feet all day, and so this accident could be a huge blow to her and her daughter's financial future.
Right now, Isabella and Doreen are in significant financial need. Any amount of help is appreciated and needed. Please help us meet our goal.
