Tribute fund on behalf of Doreen Cooper (nee Franklin)

Alister, Gavin and the wider family have been deeply saddened by the passing of Doreen (Mum) and would like to raise funds for a worthy cause at this time in lieu of any floral tributes.

Doreen was diagnosed with Dementia some years ago, however, with family and social care support managed to remain in her own home till early December 2024. After some time in hospital, she was discharged to the Woodlands Care Centre in Cambridge.

The family feel they would like to raise funds for the staff that at all levels cared for her in her last few months.

From staff nurses to laundry assistants and everyone in between, their compassion and care for both Doreen and her family was really valued at this difficult time and it is felt that a token of the gratitude of Doreen’s family and friends would be a fitting tribute to an amazing woman who would have been grateful for the dignity they bestowed upon her in her final days. Please support this worthwhile cause to honour these individuals often forgotten in the care industry.
