Doreen started having difficulty breathing around 6-7 o'clock on Thursday night (7/20). We upped her oxygen, and things got a bit better, then around 1100 her oxygen saturation crashed to the mid 80s and she started become very distress so we called 911 The paramedics accessed her and we decided to transported her to LAMC. While they were starting to get her transfered. Her oxygen saturation crashed below 80, and she became very distressed—the evac shifted into high gear.
She stopped breathing during the ride, and her pulse crashed when she got to the hospital. They did CPR, intubated her and put her on 100% oxygen, but her saturation is still down in the low 80s.
Around 2AM they made the decision to transport her to Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso. As we waited for transport, her oxygen slowly crept up to the mod 80s. Still not good, but not as scary. Around 6AM Friday the ambulance crew arrived and prepped her for the trip to the airport then to El Paso on a fixed wing plane.
Braedyn and I will be driving to El Paso after I get packed and catch a little sleep.
We don't know where we'll be staying while she's in the hospital—that end of this adventure is still somewhat murky, but I know its going to be expensive.
As always, we ask for your prayers and good juju.
If it is within your reach to help us out while we work to get Doreen better, it would be a kindness.
