Doreen and Bree Macoubrie

Donation protected
Three terrible things happened all in one week: my grandparents' house flooded in the recent San Diego storms, my grandmother Doreen Macoubrie died after a months-long sickness with some form of cancer, and my sister Bree Macoubrie succumbed to her depression and killed herself.

The remaining members of the Macoubrie family are struggling with these tragedies, both emotionally and financially. Fixing the flood damage will cost more money than we have, which is bad news for my grandfather Ronald Macoubrie who still wants to live there for the rest of his life. Getting Doreen Macoubrie cremated and celebrated at a memorial service will also cost more money than we have. And getting Bree Macoubrie's remains and personal property brought from Louisiana to California will also cost more money than we have.

When horrible things happen, good people always ask "How can I help?" This is it: this is how you can help. Please contribute $20, $50, $100, or whatever amount you can contribute to help us pay for all the unexpected home repairs and end-of-life services we've suddenly been slammed with this week. Every little bit helps.

Please, contribute what you can. We need this help, badly.

Thank you.
