Dora's Recovery
Donation protected
I'm starting this page for my sister, Kate and her horse Dora (Isadora ... by Jorongo MOR out of AFW Joie de Vivre for all you horse folks).
On Sunday June 3rd, Kate rushed Dora to the emergency vet where she was admitted with colitis, and was toxic. She has been in isolation at the hosiptal since Sunday, recieving IV fluids and antibiotics. Dora was able to eat and drink a bit on Friday but they are still unsure why she is so sick. Thanks to Kate's immediate attention on Sunday and all the wonderful people that have been treating her, we are hopefully that Dora is on the road to recovery. Dora is a special girl, Kate's "heart horse" - it is such a relief to hear she is improving.
Once Dora is home, she'll require medications, monitoring, diagnostics, and so on. I'm sure anyone reading this is an animal lover and likely a pet owner and you know how expensive a trip to the vet can be. If you are able to donate, every little bit helps!
