A small note about this fundraiser.

This page exists simply because many people asked if there was a way they could make a small contribution as an act of kindness towards 21-year-old Dora during her travels.

It was not created as a request or expectation for money.
There is absolutely no pressure for anyone to contribute.

Many loved ones kindly insisted they would like to support Dora in a small way — whether that’s helping with travel experiences, activities or moments that bring her joy along the journey.

For anyone who prefers not to donate, the most meaningful support is simply sharing Dora’s story & encouraging her adventure. Dora would love nothing more than for you to send her a message of encouragement or even a video call to say hello. Please reach her via our social media below to arrange a time to speak.

Thank you for the kindness & encouragement shown to Dora so far. ❤️

Over the past year, Dora has experienced more loss than most people face in a lifetime. In just 12 months she has lost five beloved family members — including her dad, Dominic.

Dominic was her anchor, her protector & her biggest champion. His passing has left a huge space in her world. Alongside the grief, Dora has been struggling with changes in her behaviour, emotions & daily routines — something that can happen when someone with additional needs faces such overwhelming loss.

Instead of letting grief close her world, we’re helping Dora gently re-open it through adventure, connection & new experiences.

Dora’s Big World is an idea she has created, which will focus on many factors — exploring nature, meeting new people, going outside of her comfort zone & slowly rebuilding joy, confidence & emotional stability after such a difficult time of late. All of this whilst processing grief as a downs syndrome young person.

Every donation helps us create these moments for Dora — whether it's an event she would like to take part in, health & well being activities, or simply making space for her to feel safe, supported & happy again. A simple bubble tea is enough to cheer her up.
Her dream is to see a K-Pop act in concert & to be an International role model & inspiration to others with a disability & those struggling to overcome the loss of someone close to them. Dora has expressed a desire for other young people from the LGBTQI+ communities to reach out to her & anyone who can advise her on how to make social media content as this is very new to her.

We can be contacted via @DorasBigWorld on Instagram & TiketyToc.

Your support helps turn grief into healing adventures. Love.
