What was done to George Floyd was unjust, and all 4 of his killers should be convicted of murder for their blatant disregard to the law. The entire police force is under pressure and we must keep applying it if we want to see change.
My friend and I were thinking of ideas that could help potentially save a life and bring awareness to the fact that those 4 officers indeed broke the law. The idea that stuck out the most to us was to put those same rules they swore to abide by on a shirt and give it out at different protests. The reasoning behind the shirt would be that if another officer had a human being on the ground in handcuffs, the rules they swore to would be right before their eyes. This could potentially save a life.
I will be making this shirt under my brand dooProcess. dooProcess is a spin-off of the legal term “Due-Process” which refers to fair treatment through the judicial system as a citizen’s entitlement. The mission behind dooProcess is to bring awareness to the injustices of the justice system through streetwear. Behind every purchase, a portion of the sale will be donated to a defense fund with the main goal of achieving social justice!
I will be solely paying for the cost of manufacturing 100 shirts to give out for free at protests. I feel that this shirt could potentially save a life and help continue to get justice for George Floyd. I would love to make 100 more of these shirts and every donation will go towards the creation of them. It will cost me $980 to make 100 shirts. With your donations, I would love to make way more and get this message out there and keep the momentum going.
