"Doomsday" - Film Production Fund

Donation protected
“Doomsday” is a coming-of-age short film and a love letter to Chicago created by Jade Magno McGovern.

What is “Doomsday"?

“In order to gain something, we must lose something.”

Inspired by films such as “Frances Ha,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” and “Shithouse,” this story explores the relationship between choice and change. From house parties to street chases to Boystown clubs, “Doomsday” follows Joey, a young actor, on his final adventure in Chicago and how he copes with his choice to leave the only city he has ever called home. He learns how change is difficult and inevitable, but it takes courage, and while the doubt and uncertainty will try to destroy you, it is in pursuit of your dreams.
