Hi, I'm doodlemancy. I'm an artist, I'm disabled, and this year has been pretty financially rough already-- the USA is a nightmare, my shop sales have plummeted, i've had to deal with/recover from two surgeries, every single bill is going up, etc. etc. etc.
In short, I'm kind of already slowly dying of a thousand cuts, and I will apparently not be getting SNAP funds to pay for food in November, because of the government shutdown. (I've been staying on top of the news, and despite the court order, it doesn't seem very hopeful that I'll even see the half-payment the administration promised a couple of days ago.) I can't take any more hits, so I'm asking for some help.
If, by some miracle of unprecedented government functionality, the SNAP payment actually shows up before the month ends, or if I raise extra funds, they will go to staunching the rest of the bleeding (paying off credit card bills).
