Meet my sister, Donyel Parrish- an Army Veteran, devoted mother of four; two birth children and two she has adopted and who she has the same unwavering love and support for as her own. She is a daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and Missionary! Her life is a true testament to selfless service. Our family is incredibly blessed to have her.

When our dad fell ill, Donyel, as the oldest, stepped up without hesitation. She left her job to become our family's rock- attending countless hospital meetings and calls guiding us through difficult decisions and caring for him until his passing. His loss shattered us all.

Despite the heartbreak, Donyel kept pushing forward. After her severance expired, she found part-time work to make ends meet. It was no surprise to us that she chose to work in a school cafeteria and a nursing home. She also reopened her home to fostering children, showing resilience. But now Donyel faces her own battle. She's been diagnosed with breast cancer.

We are all confident that she will beat this! However, we know the journey ahead could be long and tough. While her veteran benefits cover most medical costs, Donyel still faces mortgage, gas, insurances, and other bills to go along with everyday expenses.

Though she has an unshakable faith and a strong support system, the financial burden is overwhelming. We want to help ease that stress so Donyel can focus on healing. We ask for your help and support, to give back to the woman who has given so much of herself to others.
