The best kinds of people are the ones that come into your life, and make you see the sun where you once saw the clouds. The people that believe in you so much, you start to believe in you too. People that love you simply for being you. The once in a lifetime kind of people.

I know there are so many of us who have had the beautiful pleasure of getting to experience a world full of Donte Shepherd. The man who lit up a room with a single smile. The man with an unmistakable voice and a laugh that can still be heard in many of our memories. Donte would and has been there for anybody who needed a friend.

There are no words to describe the pain and gut wrenching sorrow so many of us are experiencing right now. I know there are probably so many others, who, like me just want to help. I know that giving the family the opportunity to be together and support each other, without the financial burden of what is to come, will be a tiny way we can all chip in.
