Hi, my name is Rick Ross. Two years ago I fell asleep and woke up a week later in the Hospital. I went into DKA and woke up into a new medical journey. I became Septic, kidney failure, had cerebral infarct and had surgery on spine to remove an infection that spread from my back to around my heart and throughout my face 3 times and spent the following 30 days learning to walk again as well as live with a wound vac for the next six months. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have learned to walk again with physical therapy and control of my diabetes. I now have retinopathy and get monthly injections to help me keep my vision. I am proud to be alive and grateful to all of those that have helped me along the way.

Today I have discovered that the infection had dissolved the bone that holds my teeth in place. I also have an abscess on both sides of my lower jaw. I need to have all of my teeth removed and dentures to replace my teeth. I am absolutely terrified of an infection growing inside of me again and going through DKA with coma again. I cannot afford to pay for surgery and dentures... I am reaching out to anyone who can help change my life with this needed and life changing surgery.
