I'm Luca, a trans non-binary photographer from Los Angeles.

Before you read this, please know that this is the most vulnerable and open I have ever been about myself, and it is not easy for me to ask for help. So thank you in advance for reading this, sharing, donating, and even just sending positive energy my way.

My identity has been a long journey, neither linear nor easy. Having grown up in an extremely religious household with two immigrant parents who come from strict backgrounds, I feared my own truth for decades.

Though I've known about my identity since I was 4 or 5 years old, I did not have the language, the support, nor the permission to explore/express myself, which impacted my mental and emotional health greatly as I have struggled with severe gender dysphoria since my youth. Feeling unsafe in my own body has become too overwhelming to handle.

I want to finally feel at home in my own body and present to the world as my most true and expressive self. However, this final stage of the process requires a lot of help. I am fully freelance and do not have the necessary means to pay for this procedure alone.

Your donations will help me pay for my gender affirming post-surgery recovery journey, 2 months of rent, doctor visits, and any after care necessities, as I will have to spend 4-6 weeks recovering post-surgery. My work is fully based off of being able to physically perform/lift heavy equipment, which leaves me out of work for the time I need to recover.
