My name is Maxfield Haynes and I am the director and co-creator of the recent Don't Rush Challenge video featuring some of the beautiful black men of the concert dance world.
As some of you may be aware, the concert dance world is deeply affected by the closing of theatres due to COVID-19. With all of our artists and companies out of work for the foreseeable future, many dance institutions are struggling to make sure that every artist will have a home to come back to when this is all over. We started this gofundme to directly support the creators of this video as we are all currently scrounging for a way to make a living. When things seem to be at their darkest, the world has turned to artists to get them through it all. Now, we as artists are turning to you to support us in whatever way you can.
