This photo is of me and MY FRIEND RACHELLE. Rachelle DeMetz is the one kissing me on the cheek., looking into the camera. We have been good friends for many years now. Rachelle has been there for me through many difficult times. She has cared for me after surgeries, helped me in many, many difficult times of need. Rachelle was right by my side in the most tragic times in my life, the loss of my husband, and years later, the loss of my daughter. NOW, it’s time to be there for her in her time of need, and she needs help. >Rachelle is a beautiful person inside and out; she’s always helping others and never expects anything in return; her help, love, and support is offered easily and freely, I’m hoping that people can help me help her as easily and freely as she has selflessly been there for so many. If she has ever helped you, with any needs, been a friend, and ear in difficult times, helped you move, given you a ride somewhere, bought you a meal, helped you with a garage sale, anything, please find it in your heart to donate anything. She really needs the help of her friends and FAMILY!
Years ago, Rachelle and three other girls were hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light. Everyone had terrible injuries, especially Rachelle.
>Rachelle had a torn aorta valve, lacerated liver, collapsed lungs, and six breaks in her pelvis. According to Rachelle, while in surgery, the Doctor accidentally cut a vein that leads to one of her vocal cords. However, she says how grateful she is because he saved her life. She has had specific procedures done by injections several times, which never worked. As long as I have known Rachelle, she has only been able to speak with one vocal cord, which has left her with a very low, almost whisper, raspy voice. Very hard to hear and sometimes understand.
Over the years, her voice is progressively getting worse, making it hard to speak, swallow, and very painful. If your vocal cord paralysis symptoms do not recover on their own, surgical treatments may be offered to improve the ability to speak and swallow. All of the surgical options are extremely expensive, and there may be several different surgeries involved. The procedures are very descriptive and detailed; if anyone wants more information, I can put you in touch with Rachelle to give you more details. She needs a specific specialist for a paralyzed vocal cord and disorders of the larynx. These surgeries can come with complications as it is a detailed and quite dangerous series of surgeries to hopefully fix and repair a problem, which is not vast odds of a full recovery. This is why we’re asking for this kind of help snd money. There is a specialist in Boston who has been successful at these types of surgeries, and not only will she need the money for these procedures, but also airfare back and forth several times, hotel stay, food, and anything else she may need. Insurance doesn’t pay; she does not have the money and doesn’t have any means of paying for something like this. The specialist is Dr. Steve Zeitel, and he is located at the Center for Laryngeal Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has performed successful surgeries on famous people such as Adelle, Steven Tyler and Sam Smith, to name a few.
We need help from family, friends, our community, and then some. A bunch of people donating $20. Adds up. She really needs the help of her friends and community. Donate anything Please don’t let This beautiful voice be silenced. Rachelle generously gives service to others and is a friend to the end; please help me help her.
