We never thought we would have to write something like this, and it absolutely breaks my heart to do so. RMMR has reached a breaking point. Donations have become almost non-existent—barely more than a handful per month—and sales have generated little. None of the grants we applied for have come through, and there's been no business support this year. We've been kept afloat solely by singular person income and burning through the rescue's meager savings and credit, but we are now facing the very real possibility of closing our doors due to a lack of financial support.
Every day, we care for vulnerable animals—many of them sick, injured, or abandoned—who rely entirely on us for survival. From critical medical care and quarantine needs to daily feeding, cleaning, and enrichment, the cost of giving these animals a second chance adds up quickly.
We have stopped intaking owner surrenders, not because the need isn’t there, but because we are afraid we cannot responsibly commit to their care while still supporting the animals already dependent on us. Unless something can change for the better, we will not be able to continue much longer.
We are asking our community—our friends, supporters, and anyone who believes in giving animals a second chance—to please step in and help us keep going. Whether it’s a donation, sharing this post, or connecting us with potential sponsors, every single action makes a difference.
This is more than a rescue. It’s a lifeline.
And right now, that lifeline is at risk.
We have stretched every dollar, leaned on every resource, and poured our hearts into this mission, but without more support, the rescue will simply have to cease. Right now, I'm trying to be brave and I'm trying to hope with all that I can, that things won't come to a such an end.
If you’ve ever supported us, believed in our work, or simply care about the animals we serve, please consider helping today. Together, we can make sure RMMR continues to be a place of hope, healing, and second chances.
Thank you for standing with us when we need it most.
