Six years ago, Smokin Dudes Records set out to change the creative landscape of Iași. We launched The Ramp—a project born from pure passion by Andrei Cerbu, the CEO of the studio—and thanks to an incredible community response, we raised over $20,000.
That funding wasn't just a number; it was a promise. Because of your trust, we transformed a raw industrial warehouse into a professional sanctuary for artists. For the last half-decade, we have been the "launchpad" for local talent, providing the infrastructure, the heating systems for grueling winter filmings, and the professional expertise to produce high-end audio and video for those who otherwise wouldn’t have had a voice.
The Next Big Step: Festivalul Național "Dor de Santa Mare"
We are now taking the most significant step in the history of The Ramp. We are moving from a studio project to a large-scale cultural phenomenon: Festivalul Național "Dor de Santa Mare"
We are tired of the stagnant competition circuit in Romania—the same biased juries and "empty" prizes that offer no real future for the artist. Our festival is designed to be a game-changer. We are not just giving out trophies; we are providing a professional ecosystem. Our winners will receive:

The Challenge: A Studio Under Siege
While our vision is expanding, our home base is under threat. To successfully host "Dor de Santa Mare" and keep the Smokin Dudes quality at its peak, we must address two critical issues:
- Infrastructure Crisis: The warehouse that houses our dreams is failing. Extreme weather has decimated our insulation. We are currently fighting leaks and structural damage that threaten our expensive gear and our ability to host the following winter filming sessions.
- The Tech Ceiling: To maintain the "Smokin Dudes" standard, we must evolve. Our lighting and production equipment have served us well for six years, but we have reached a plateau. We need to upgrade to professional audio - video equipment to keep up with the standard and much more.
