Hi, I’m Jason. I am a proud 17-year graduate of SHI Integrative Medical Massage School in Lebanon, Ohio. Last summer, our founder Sharon Barnes asked Dr. Suzanne Croteau and me to step up as co-owners and co-directors to lead SHI into its next chapter.
For nearly half a century, SHI has been more than just an institution—it has been a sanctuary for healing, a birthplace for lifelong careers, and a cornerstone of medical massage in Southwest Ohio. Today, that legacy is at a critical crossroads, and we are calling on our alumni family to help us save it.
What Happened?
Last fall, SHI faced a "perfect storm" of technical hurdles and organizational uncertainty. Because of a mistaken belief that the school was closing, the Fall 2025 cohort was turned away. This resulted in a total loss of winter tuition revenue, leaving us with a significant budget shortfall for April and May.
The good news: We are NOT closing. We have a dedicated team, a clear vision, and we are already preparing to launch a brand-new cohort in May 2026. However, we need a "bridge" to get there.
How Your Donation Makes a Difference

Essential Operations: Covering staff salaries and utilities for April and May.
Future Growth: Funding marketing and administrative efforts to ensure our May 2026 cohort is full and successful.
Modernization: Upgrading technology to provide the next generation of therapists with the modern learning environment they deserve.

As manual therapists, we know that a house is only as strong as its foundation. SHI gave us that foundation. If SHI closes, our region loses its premier source for medical massage education.
