Hello, my name is Alexa Cortes Gutierrez, and I started a club at my school named Don't Let It Melt for a class 'Do Good' project. I chose to have it be focused on climate change and the negative impacts littering is causing to our planet. It's something that I've always had an interest in and believe it is something that needs to be addressed, especially now that I've been seeing a lot of media around Polar Bears' environment melting, which is where the club name originated.

To do good, we started as a club at Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, CA, to volunteer at beach cleanups and other environment-focused services. But another goal we have is to also raise and donate money to Polar Bears International. A little goes a long way, and any donation can make a difference.
