Don’t Let Craig Suffer in Silence

Friends, family, Dowling Catholic Faithful—

I never thought I’d be writing this, but here we are.

On the evening of April 21st, during the Dowling Catholic track meet, my colleague, friend, and PLC partner Craig McClain suffered a violation unlike any other. His bag was ransacked… and his underwear was stolen. Yes, you read that correctly.

Not his phone. Not his wallet. His dirty undies. The Laundry, The Whites!

Craig’s bag was shamelessly violated by a Johnston student—a thief with no morals and even less regard for human dignity. This wasn’t a prank. It was a targeted act of disrespect fueled by long-standing hatred for Dowling.

Though the culprit was caught, Craig—out of love, kindness and forgiveness—chose not to press charges. A brave man surrounded by cowards.

Now Craig finds himself exposed (emotionally, if not physically), humiliated, and financially strained. His wife, Lisa—an enthusiastic and unrelenting wedding planner—has siphoned every last dime toward their daughter’s upcoming nuptials. Craig had hoped to replace his underwear … but inflation, combined with his unending love for his daughter has left him bare.

As a man with an eye for proper fit—and a deep, vocal hatred for anything that rides up, squeezes, or shifts—Craig has no tolerance for poorly made clothing.
