This is Don. Don is my friend. Don has many many friends. We met back in junior high school in band class. Don is an amazing person, a man of faith, a dog lover, a kind, gentle and loving human being. Don is also a phenomenal musician playing organ, saxophone and accordion. I had the honor and pleasure to make music with him during our junior and senior high school years.

Don left California and moved to Green Bay Wisconsin many many years ago, leaving many many sad faces behind. Back in April of this year 2021, Don reported the devastating news to his friends that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer. If this was not heartbreaking enough, less than a month later in May, Don’s dog Sammy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. And, adding injury to all that is happening in Don’s life, Don fell at his home and fractured his hip.

Don’s loving and compassionate neighbors came to his rescue and have been a God send in helping him with household chores and transportation to and from doctor’s appointments. Not wanting to be a continued burden to his neighbors and friends, and since he lives alone with no nearby relatives to help with his hip rehabilitation after the surgery, Don’s doctors advised that he enter a rehab facility to gain the strength and mobility he needed to handle life’s daily tasks. Oh, there is more!

During his inpatient rehab stay in June, Don’s house was burglarized. Numerous items of value were taken, a snow-blower, computer printer, vacuum, electric piano, just to name a few.

Friends, I am asking for your help in supporting Don! Don would never ask for this help, but I am. I believe he has three Loves: His dog Sammy, His Music, and His Love for Life and friends. Two of those Loves so far, have been taken from him.

I love my friend, my brother. To all of Don’s neighbors that are currently helping and friends near and far, thank you for your support with your time, deeds, and loving prayers!
