Donny Wetzel

The last 72 hours have been a whirlwind. My sister has lost her husband unexpectedly, and my nieces and nephews have lost their daddy. Donny was the most giving person, whether he was paying for dinner for our large crew or he was giving his time to complete a backyard renovation for my parents. He was one of the smartest and funniest guys I have ever met. He came across as quiet and shy, but once he let you in, you saw who he really was. He was the life of the party with his endless sense of humor/wit and his wild, crazy ideas. He loved big and would do anything in the world for you. My sister is heartbroken and her children miss their daddy. Jaxon keeps asking us what we think his dad is doing now in heaven, and if he is building Legos with Jesus or if he is walking around exploring heaven. We pray that all of their memories with their daddy will forever be deeply implanted into their minds as they move forward.

My sister is now left to face the future of raising her four children without him, her provider, her decision-maker, and her love. Many of you have asked for ways to help and we are so incredibly thankful for your love and support. She is now left with the sole responsibility of providing for her family and meeting their financial needs. I want to set up this fund so that as she grieves, she will have one less stress added to the weight that she now carries. We are forever thankful for the community that has surrounded them, love them, and is holding their arms up during this time. Thank you for your prayers and your willingness to help in every way. Our family prays for the Lord's goodness and faithfulness on your life because He has been so good and faithful to us.
