Help with expenses for Donnies wife

First I want to start of by saying that Donnie served our country for 7 years and work at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office for 25 years, mostly as the Lead Homicide Investigator. Later retired to persue his dream of becoming a Licensed Landscaper. He was so very talented at many things. He was the type of person to help you the second you were in need, no questions asked and would give you the shirt off his back. Donnie had 2 grandsons, Peyton and Jackson who were the light of his life. If there was one thing that Donnie was perfect at, it was being a Paw Paw to those boys.

Donnie was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of T Cell Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia. This type of Lymphoma is a 1 in 2 Million chance and is mostly found in Europe and Asia. It is also very fast growing and extremely aggressive. 8 weeks ago, he started having pain in his abdomen. CAT scan showed a tumor that need to be surgically removed. They removed the tumor and about 7 inches of his intestines. Biopsy report came back as Lymphoma. With later and more testing, we also found out that he had Leukemia. Before he would start any treatment for his cancers, he had to recover from his surgery. We started to notice that he wasn't healing properly, even after 6 weeks post op, because of the level of pain he was in. Another CAT scan showed that he had a massive infection in his abdomen. The doctors removed most of the puss but the infection had already made it into his bloodstream causing sepsis. We were treating that with IV antibiotics. But his stomach continued to swell. This was from Ascites. Multiple attempts to drain this fluid were done but it kept coming back. On December 22nd he was moved into ICU. The doctors told the family that there was not much else to be done except to keep him "comfortable" and to call the family immediately to say their goodbyes. His cancer and infefection was too far advanced. On December 23rd at 8:04am he took his last breath. We are asking donations tp help with his tremendous amount of medical bills, funeral, and to help his wife, Deborah Fittz with the daily life bills (Mortgage, Car and utilities) Donnie was self employed with no life insurance. Deborah is also retired. We want her to be able to keep her home that they built together and raised their children in together. But like most people in these troubling times, money is an issue. We are asking for continued prayers for his family and if even the smallest amount of donation would help her out tremously. We are greatly appreciative. Thank you!
