Donnie Dunn, Can't Get Right, needs your help!

Donation protected
Alright Tribe, it's time to step up for our brother. As many of you know, Donnie had surgery on his neck to repair an impinged nerve. Donnie has dealt with this for years. Things eventually progressed to the point he was losing use of his right arm and then it began to atrophy, to the point it was noticeably smaller than his left. He avoided the surgery for as long as he could. Eventually, however, it had to be done.

Donnie met with the surgeons and went through what to expect, except they left out one possible complication. Ten percent of the people that have this procedure develop what is called C5 Palsy. As a result of this, he has lost the use of his left arm. He can't pick up from a table or even raise it to his belt buckle. The surgery also caused his right arm to become completely numb. While he has use of it, it's difficult because of the lack of sensation.

Donnie has been a brother and friend to me for years and I know many of you feel the same. He's always there with a smile to try to make someone's day better. He's a fantastic firearms instructor and valuable asset to any team he is on. He shows his support to our community as well as the audio-video world where his real expertise lies. Many of you may not know it, but in the A/V world, Donnie is a rockstar having won numerous awards domestically as well as internationally. He's extremely intelligent.

Donnie has always been there for those who need him. At the moment, he needs us. Not only does he need us, the amazing Joanne, Joey, needs us as well. Donnie is out of work and has been for a couple of weeks. The financial burden on them is immense.

Donnie would never post this himself. He's not going to ask for help. Like most men, he's just trying to tough it out. I stopped by yesterday and visited him. It's hard to see him in this condition. But he's making the best of it and already starting physical therapy. Let's show him we all care. Let's help lift the burden from his and Joey's shoulders. Let's show what Tribe really means. If anyone has any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you to all who help.
