Hello all,
My name is Donnella Flowers-Carberry and I’ve been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Our family is in need of generosity to help with several household expenses. Like many other hairstylists across the nation, I had to close my Salon’s doors in March due to Covid-19. Fortunately, I was able to open my shop back up beginning of May; however, I fell during a hike 6/1/20 and broke my right arm just under by elbow- both my ulna/radius were extensively damaged, and my left wrist was fractured. Consequently, I was unable to work for 12 weeks, or until my arm healed and had enough physical therapy such that my hands could work again, but I am still not 100% healed.
In late July, I received the breast cancer diagnosis and need to have more surgeries and time off of work: being unable to earn income. I will be off for about 6-7 weeks until I heal enough to return to work. Our savings are running very low. My husband’s job has also cut his hours from 50-60 a week to only working 10-15 hours a week recently. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they will be working many hours any time soon. Like most couples, we are a 2 income family. We are in need of this money over the next few weeks to help with everything.
