It’s been almost 3 years since Kayla was diagnosed with cancer. Her bravery and the Lord‘s love, grace and mercy over her life was so powerfully evident. Maneuvering through that territory of the unknown was scary and yet we felt the Lord‘s peace in every part of those two years! Our family and friends were so present and attentive! We were truly blessed and inundated with wonderful help in every aspect! A huge thanks to all who came alongside us in that season of hers and our lives! Kayla is now in complete remission! She is recently engaged and excited to be married soon. Her and Eli are moving back to Bend the beginning of November! What a great God success story!
The plan for my complete recovery is...
God can heal me at any time! So I will expect a miracle to happen:-) but in the meantime I have been taking communion every day, soaking in His presence, speaking incredible declarations over my body to line up according to His perfect will, and completely being overwhelmed with worship
Here is more of the plan:
1.) I have been on a kidney/liver cleanse diet for a couple of weeks now.
2.) I will start chemo/radiation on November 6th every day for 6 weeks.
3.) Recuperate from that for another 6 weeks.
4.) After complete recuperation, I will have an operation to remove the small mass on my kidney as chemo does not affect the kidney mass.
I hope you will share in my anticipation of Gods love, mercy and grace to inundate our lives once again!
I am super positive about this little “bump in the road”. It will not take me down! I have been and will continue to REST in HIS amazing presence during this time. The Lord has plans for my life and I have a ton of prophetic words spoken over my life - so He is not done with me yet.
I would love to request some things from you:
1.) Positivity. Please! In all of your prayers and conversations for and of me, I would request that you be positive. I believe there is power in our words! Not only have I seen this with my eyes but says so in the Word of God. We have power of life or death in our tongues. All words of and about me should be of perfect life, health and vitality to my body, soul and spirit. I say “body, soul and spirit” because I feel like this is not just about my body but about me as a whole.
2.) Love and support. As we know already from our experience with Kayla, your love and support is imperative as well as really appreciated. However you think that looks like, even if it’s just a text with encouraging words is awesome! But also remember that when I am going through chemo, I might not be able to have visitors during certain times. Don’t be offended if you can’t come and see me especially if you have a cold or you are sick in any way.
3.) My kids will be putting together a meal and cleaning “train“ as well as a “go fund me” account as this will be of great help! Look for this in email/Facebook soon.
4.) Please, from this point forward, direct questions to Ron, or my PA, Caitlin. Ron can be reached at [email redacted] and Caitlin can be reached at the above as well as her personal email at [email redacted]
Love and blessings!
