As many of you know, my mom Donna Jeremiah McNally was diagnosed with Covid 19 on March  16,2021. Since then she has been transferred to three hospitals including Cleveland clinic Martin  South, Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital and finally to Cleveland Clinic Westin. During the past month my mom has been intubated, through surgery and is currently laying with critical injuries in the ICU. Many people don’t know my mom was told the only way she could survive covid 19 was with the help of an ECMO machine. My mom was lucky enough to get accepted for this treatment but as the doctors were connecting her to the machine, she coded and needed CPR. The doctors were able to get mom back but her vitals are still critical. Mom is now intubated through a tracheostomy, connected to the ECMO machine, has two central lines and a necrotic bed sore. She has been through hell but it still fighting. Moms lungs are not getting better and they have to keep her almost fully sedated because when she wakes up her panic attacks negatively effect her respiration, and heart rate. This is going to be a very long road and Drs still aren’t sure where she stands. I’m starting this go fund me because my mom deserves the help. Donna has always gone above and beyond to help everyone she knows and now she needs help. I have researched that an ECMO machine for a 60 day stay costs 4.2 million dollars. My mom does have insurance but she is out of network. On top of the hospital costs I’m still trying to keep up with her rent, electric, and car payment. Any little bit can help, this is not something I ever thought I would do but the fact is I can not do this alone.
