My name is Donna Smith and I'm 42 years old. I was diagnosed October 2011 with a terminal disease called ALS Lou Gehrigs disease at the age of 34 yrs old. I started showing symptoms in August the year before. There is no cure, I will eventually die with ALS. Life expectancy is 2-5 years. I've survived for 9 years by the mercy of God. I'm truly thankful for being able too watch my two boys grow up. Also spend more time with my loving awesome husband and my caregiver. He's been out of work for about 7 years now. My husband has no income. ALS has taken all my abilities to breathe, move and eat. I'm bedridden mostly, it's where I'm comfortable and our savings are depleted. We have no insurance coverage and can't get help from the government because I get my social security.($1200 a month). Our mortgage is $922 a month. We are out of money at this time and so we are going to have to cut my husband and our youngest sons phone bill, satellite TV bill, possibly even my life line, the Internet. My only entertainment. I read my Bible, my Kindle books, my Facebook and Pinterest, Amazon prime and Netflix movies and shows. We have to have groceries to feed a family of four, three men and me. We need a phone! Our one son, still in school a junior this year. He needs a phone so we can keep up with him. Our needs are Urgent ! Jesus will provide our way by the help of others. He's not let us down yet! God bless you! Thank you for all donations, we very much appreciate any help!
