Hi everyone,

I'm writing this on behalf of my sister, Dea, and her mother, Donna, who is currently in Stage 4 of cervical cancer. This past week has been extremely stressful for as Donna's symptoms came on suddenly and have resulted in a prolonged hospital stay. A very large mass in her cervix was found and shown to be obstructing her kidneys from functioning properly. Stents have been placed to help with the kidneys and we will soon find out if anything can be done about the tumor.

Although treatments options may be available pending the results of further tests, remission is not guaranteed, and we are trying to prepare for any excessive end-of-life expenses that come our way.

Dea, Donna, and Dorothy (Donna's mother, who has her own health problems) have taken care of each other for their whole lives as well as a handful of pets, including Donna's teeny, tiny yorkie who is *very* sad being away from her mom for so long.

This is a tough time for everyone involved.
