My sister, Donna Crabtree Nelson, was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in August, 2016. She has done pre-surgery chemo and had a mastectomy Dec. 05, 2016.  After a short recovery, she will resume chemo in January for eight more rounds, plus a year of Herceptin. Radiation is yet to be determined.

Donna's out-of-pocket costs are estimated to be $8,000, with deductibles and copays. She is retired and has social security and insurance, but she has to pay the out-of-pocket bills that are not covered.

This fund was started to cover her costs because no one should have to fight bill collectors while fighting cancer. We appreciate all donations of any size! Thank you for your support in 2016 and we will keep going throughout 2017, helping Donna tell cancer to "suck it!"


Any excess donations not used for Donna's medical costs will be donated to help another cancer patient in need.
