Donna Coppola’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
For those of you who know Donna, she is a very hardworking, open minded, caring and loving mother/wife. She is originally from New Jersey and relocated to Florida 6 years ago where she resides with her husband and 2 kids.
The past year has been a bumpy road. She has been in and out of doctors offices, urgent cares and discharged from hospitals due to sinus like symptoms. She was always weary it could be something more, however, her physicians did not agree.
As of a month ago, she was transported to another hospital in which they did a CT scan of her neck and found a mass blocking 80% of her airway. She has been unable to speak for the past few months and had difficulty breathing on her own without oxygen.
At that hospital, they did a tracheotomy so she could breathe better and took a sample of the mass. She was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. She then starting feeding and speech therapy. Unfortunately, foods/milkshakes were too difficult to swallow, therefore, had to get a feeding tube.
She was then transported to a hospital closer to our home where she has been the past 3 weeks. She has been smiling, laughing and staying strong daily! She is supported by her husband, daughter and son who see her daily and help make sure she’s as comfortable and positive as she can be.
She will be starting chemotherapy and radiation for the next 7 weeks. We are in the process of making sure medical bills and home expenses are taken care of so she can come home to a healthy/stress free environment.
Donations of any kind will go directly to Donna to help support her recovery.
Please continue to pray for Donna and her family. Thank you in advance.
