Donna and her husband Chicky own Best (B St.) Syrian subs, a local take out sandwich shop that has been around since at least 1990.  It is a seasonal place, so as we know it can be very weather dependent.  Recently, their son encountered a medical issue (blood clot) that resulted in major complications including the amputation of one of his legs.  He is currently back in the Intensive Care Unit.  As we all know, medical costs, even if you have insurance are astronomical. Additionally, a "mom & pop" sandwich shop that has to close down during some of the busiest days of the season during their sons treatment. The expenses add up quickly.
