Donna (Spacek) Carter dedicated her life to helping young people discover their potential. As a teacher, principal, mentor, and mother, she believed that every student deserved encouragement, opportunity, and someone who believed in them.

Donna (Spacek) Carter passed away on July 26 2026 after a sudden medical event.

To honour her life and extraordinary legacy, her three daughters are establishing the Donna (Spacek) Carter Resiliency Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a female TJHS graduate pursing post-secondary education who has demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of adversity and in overcoming life’s challenges. This scholarship will exist to ensure that Donna’s compassion, kindness, encouragement, and belief in others continues to open doors and change lives for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to help establish the Donna (Spacek) Carter Resiliency Scholarship.
