Hi, my name is Natasha, and I’m fundraising for my dear friend, Donna MacDonald.

From Donna’s daughter, Sarah:

“On Sunday, November 2nd, our world was turned upside down. My beautiful mum suffered a sudden and serious medical episode and had to be airlifted to Orange Hospital. She was placed on a ventilator and into an induced coma - the most frightening moment of our lives.

We’re incredibly grateful that she’s now taking small but hopeful baby steps forward. Every tiny improvement feels like a huge victory, and we’re holding onto strength and faith as we stay by her side.”

As many of you know, Donna has lovingly run her small store in Lightning Ridge for years, it’s been the heartbeat of her family. Right now, the store is closed indefinitely, and with no clear timeline to reopen, the financial pressure is immense. This comes on top of the family already caring for a loved one going through breast cancer treatment.

This is an unbelievably heavy season for them, and any support - no matter the size - would mean the world. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping lift some of this weight from a family who has given so much to their community.
