Hi, our names are Lisa and Kristen! Our fun-loving, happy and dear flight attendant friend needs our help!!!

You might be aware of Donna's battle against breast cancer, but her incredible journey of fighting began in 2012, when she was diagnosed with a genetic bone disease. She has had over 13 operations that include bilateral knee and hip replacements and multiple back and neck surgeries. A few months after her divorce, Donna was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in August 2022. She has had a double mastectomy, 4 rounds of chemotherapy, 33 radiation treatments and breast reconstruction. As Donna was nearing the finish line this December, she was diagnosed with an Ascending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm measuring up to 3.5 cm in diameter and 6 cm in length that needed repair. Two days later, she was rushed to the hospital where she had emergency open heart surgery on December 23. Eventually, she may also need a subsequent surgery to fix another aneurysm, lower down on the aortic artery.

Donna has exhausted all of her sick time and Colorado has no short term disability. She probably will not be physically able to fly and work for another 6 months or so. All of this has become overwhelming: mentally, physically, and financially for Donna.

Many of you have asked how you can help, and what she needs now is financial assistance. Donna has always made our days brighter here at United Airlines. Her contagious personality has warmed our hearts for many years. Let's all help her as much as we can. Donna wants nothing more than to get healthy and get back to being the wonderful flight attendant she is. We are so lucky to have her in our lives!!!
