Donna Avelino, a member of our Scotts Miracle-Gro family, colleague and friend, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Donna worked at the Scotts MiracleGro facility in Ft, Iowa Madison for over 3 years.

In her role as HR Manager, Donna was a trusted and valued member of the team. She was a skilled problem solver and her colleagues could always count on her to pitch in when needed. She took pride in leading and mentoring others. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her wife, cooking and traveling to flea markets and antique stores. Donna will be missed by so many.

Donna is survived by her wife, Victoria Avelino; two step sons, Christian (Isilene) Cruz and Jonathan (Hermila) Cruz; one step daughter, Paola Roxana (Guillermo) Cruz; one sister, Doris Klenke; two brothers, Clifford (Karen) Klenke and Clayton (Cynthia) Klenke.; one sister in law, Beatriz (Leticia) Avelino; two nephews, Matthew and Joshua Klenke; and one niece, Grace Klenke.
