Donevan’s St Michael’s Tuition Fund

Hey everyone! Let me introduce you to an amazing young man Donevan Ricker- from right here in Santa Fe.  Evan’s father is my friend and coworker and I have watched him work three jobs - literally night and day - while raising this talented young athlete.  I want to see them achieve Donevan’s goal of playing basketball for St Mikes (at 13 he’s over 6 feet tall!) and having the academic opportunity to attend college.  With the support of the coaching staff at St Mikes, Donevan has been accepted and has received a substantial scholarship which offsets all but around $7k in tuition plus his school expenses like equipment and uniforms.  But that’s a lot for a young father and I’m hoping that our community will come together to support this young man.  Anything you can donate helps- and is so deeply appreciated….and selfishly I must add that our community needs educated, talented young people to build a stronger Santa Fe…for all of us…please consider this request as an investment in our city’s future as well as Donevan’s…Thank you!

Hello my name is Donevan Ricker,

I would like to attend St Michael’s Middle School High School for the educational opportunities.Each year the amount of knowledge I gain will be beneficial in the long run when I achieve my goal of graduating.

I know the challenge that St Mike’s offers will be tough.  I am ready to accept the challenge.

I have been playing basketball for four years. I would like to continue playing basketball at St Mike’s. I am also interested in football as a secondary sport.

I believe graduating from St Mike’s will also help in the chances of receiving a scholarship, so I have the opportunity to attend college. 

I would like to be the first to graduate college in my family.  I am thankful for all your support in my journey of achieving my dreams.
