Dondo, Sofala Cyclone Relief Fund - Mozambique

Cyclone Ida has devastated and taken the lives, habitats and happines away from so many people of my home city Dondo, Sofala in Mozambique, leaving people that were already living in poverty stranded and in need of all the help they can get. I ask that Citizens of the World come together as One and help rebuild the community of Dondo and get it's people back on their feet. Any donation that you might be able to provide, no matter if large or small will help make a difference and bring back a smile and comfort to one's life. I Thank you for your time and generosity.
Donation Use:
Our main goal is to help rebuild houses and depending on donations we would also like to provide life essentials such as:
- Water
- Food
Assistance Coordination in Mozambique:
We would like the proceeds be sent through the non-profit CARE.org, which has operations in Mozambique since 1986. CARE works in emergency assistance and food distribution and already has efforts underway in the affected region. In addition to CARE, we will work with Pastor Manuel Rafael from the Baptist Church in Dondo to help identify areas of focus.
We will request records on how the funds are used and post updates so all the donors are kept informed of the progress

My name is Hermenegildo "Gildo" Matsinhe, I currently live in Maryland, Rockville and I am from Dondo, Sofala. I grew up in Mafarinha and went to school there at Escola primária 25 de Setembro and Escola Secundária de Dondo. I worked at Açucareira de Mafambisse and did Community work at Rádio Comunitária de Dondo and was a member of the Baptist Church of Dondo.
My name is Baptista "Beto" Mandlate, i currently live in Maryland, Silver Spring. I'm from Maputo, Mozambique.
