Dondi and Mike Nehrt

Dondi Nehrt is a staff member at Glenwood Heights Primary in Battle Ground. Her husband is Mike Nehrt. Over the past couple of years Mike has been dealing with some health issues concerning his heart. Recently he has been diagnosed with end-stage heart failure. He is currently under the care of OHSU. He will going through an open heart surgery in the next week or so to put in an LVAD machine to assist his body in pumping blood so that he may be put on the list for a heart transplant.

With that said, Dondi is the main breadwinner for their family of four. They have two daughters living at home. Mike has been unable to work and will not be able to work for awhile. He is not receiving disability at this time either. Any help/donations would be very welcome and appreciated.

They recently sold their home and are in the process of looking for a place to rent. They will have to move while Mike is in recovery from his first surgery.
