Who is Jinx?
Jinx is a seeing eye dog and has been with Courtney for six years. They both live in Brisbane, Australia and Jinx goes to work with Courtney and helps with her daily life. Jinx assists Courtney with travelling to and from work as well as navigating around the workplace. Yesterday (15th May 2016), Courtney found out Jinx has a (it is unknown if benign or cancerous) lump in her intestines. At this stage there is surgery booked on Wednesday 18th May 2016 to biopsy and remove the lump.
Who are we?
We are Courtney's coworkers and friends. Courtney and Jinx are very dear to and much loved by everyone in our workplace and we understand how heartbreaking and difficult this situation is. We want to attempt to ease the financial stress on Courtney and her husband Jacob.
How will the money be used ?
For those who don't know - Seeing Eye Dogs Australia do not financially support any of their dogs once placed with a client. All of the financial burden is on Courtney and her husband. The money raised will go directly towards the surgery itself as well as any ongoing costs.
This is very saddening for Courtney, her family and friends. Jinx has been a constant companion to Courtney for six years and is more than just an assistance dog. We welcome any donation no matter the size. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and we thank you for reading this.
