Donations to Practical Action in memory of David Norminton

David's three children - Natalie, Isabelle and Gregory - have set up this donation page for all who would like to commemorate our beloved father's life with donations to a charity that meant a lot to him: Practical Action.

Practical Action is a global development charity, building sustainable lives and livelihoods on the frontlines of poverty and climate change.

David was quietly progressive as a citizen and as a doctor (some will remember how far out his interest in acupuncture once seemed), and he supported Practical Action back when it was still called Intermediate Technology. Founded by SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL economist E.F. Schumacher, Practical Action is all about helping communities to build small-scale practical solutions to their problems, using affordable, local and independent strategies and technologies. It consists of a UK registered charity with community projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America, an independent publishing company and a technical consulting service. It combines these specialisms to multiply its impact and help shape a world that works better for everyone.

Donations will go directly, via GoFundMe, to Practical Action.
