I am Harpreet Siyan, widow of Karanjit Siyan, Phd.
He was Bachelor of Technology with Honors in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, 1976. And Master of Technology in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India,1978 with President of India Gold Medal for first rank in class.
My husband died on 22nd April 2020 of heart failure at home while teleworking due to COVID-19. He was working as staff scientist at NIH, Bethesda, MD. He was the sole bread earner of the family of three he, I and our school going only son.
After his demise, responsibility to provide for my child has solely fallen upon me. I have been a homemaker after getting married and coming to the US. We have no family support available to us. I do not have any job and therefore no income of my own and am badly in need of help.
We have a house mortgage loan to be payed for our house we live in and to provide for my son's education.
I am creating a GoFundMe page asking for financial help from his fellow work colleagues. I would appreciate if you could help me with sharing the GoFundMe request page with other fellow colleagues and friends as well as donate money for financial help that my son and I need to keep roof over our heads and to complete my sons education.
